Academic: Intellectually Competent. Leadership.
At De Smet Jesuit, education does not stop when the last bell rings. Our Academic clubs offer opportunities for growth and education outside the classroom; students work and learn side by side with other students and professionals to develop competence and skill in a wide range of academic fields.
Involvement in our expansive list of Academic clubs will allow students to broaden their horizons through events such as the Festival of Nations and Model UN . Students may also challenge themselves intellection in academic team competitions, robotics competitions and many more. Other clubs allow students to make real relationships with leaders in the field of engineering, medicine, business and writing. Students may also find themselves gaining real world business experience through our own student run corporation (IBL), or tutoring their peers as a member of National Honor Society.
In short, there is something for everyone here at De Smet Jesuit, but what seemingly unites all academic clubs is enrichment of student’s intellectual curiosity and the preparation of students to succeed in the competitive job market that awaits.
