De Smet Jesuit Community Uniting in Prayer

De Smet Jesuit Community Uniting in Prayer
Fr. Chris Schroeder '00, S.J.

As social turmoil, injustice, and conflict continue in our world, our Christian faith calls us to live in communion with each other, regardless of difference, and to support each other and build each other up. One way that we can do that in these difficult times is through prayer together. In order to foster our communion in Christ, De Smet Jesuit will begin hosting a prayer page on its website. This will allow members of the DSJ community to post a prayer request, sharing their needs and desires with the broader community.

Even if you do not currently have a prayer intention to share, please visit the page so that you can offer prayers for those that are posted. By doing this, we follow the advice of St. Paul in his First Letter to the Thessalonians: “We urge you, brothers and sisters, admonish the idle, cheer the fainthearted, support the weak, be patient with all. See that no one returns evil for evil; rather, always seek what is good for each other and for all. Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing."
