On November 17, the De Smet Ultimate Robotics Team (DURT) competed against 11 other robotics teams at Pattonville High School as part of the FIRST® Tech Challenge game Rover Ruckus. Teams consisted of middle school and high school students competing to sample minerals, load the minerals into the cargo hold of a lander craft, free the minerals from craters on the planet surface, and have their robots climb aboard the lander for takeoff. The event was a huge success for DURT, who went 5-0-0 for the tournament and was the only undefeated team.

DURT next competes on Friday, December 7, when we host 11 other teams here at De Smet Jesuit, and again the following day, Saturday, December 8, at SLU where we compete against 23 other teams.
