I wasn't sure if I could afford De Smet Jesuit as a single parent financing it totally on my own, but thanks to the amazing people at De Smet, tuition assistance, a flexible payment plan, and a home equity line of credit, what initially seemed to be out of my reach became a reality.

In truth, I couldn’t afford not to send my son to De Smet.

My son transferred to De Smet in February of his sophomore year, coming from a learning environment that did not set him up for success. He immediately felt like the teachers and staff cared about his success as much as he did at De Smet and he hit the ground running! Additionally, in spite of not being Catholic at a Catholic school, my son has been embraced by the De Smet community.

His grades have soared and his confidence and happiness have increased dramatically, extending far beyond the classroom to the wonderful friendships he has formed, as well as his relationships at home. Thanks to his success at De Smet, he has received a tremendous scholarship to Coe College where he will be studying business and participating on the baseball team. De Smet has totally transformed my son's life!
