Annual Events

The De Smet Jesuit family hosts a variety of events each year to help us connect. We look forward to seeing you at our next event held on the De Smet Jesuit campus and in our community.

TRIVIA NIGHT
Hosted by the Alumni Association each year, this De Smet Jesuit staple is thrown to help raise funds for current year scholarships. The night includes Trivia, Silent Auction, In Between Games, and a 50/50 Raffle. This event is one of the most easy and fun ways for all members of the DSJ community to get involved and give back to a great cause!

REUNION WEEKEND
De Smet Jesuit’s annual event every fall in which alumni are welcomed back to Spartan Country. Classes celebrate reunions every 5 years. The weekend kicks off on Thursday evening with the Hall of Fame Induction Dinner. On Friday evening alumni are invited to the Football Game & Stag Night in the Cafeteria. On the Saturday of Reunion Weekend each class celebrating plans a special event to attend. The weekend concludes with Mass on Sunday, followed by Campus Tours by current students.

CHRISTMAS TREE LOT
Starting the weekend after Thanksgiving, purchase all your Christmas décor needs from the De Smet Jesuit Tree Lot, hosted by the Alumni Association. The Tree Lot is located in the Ballas Parking Lot and sells premium trees and wreaths. All proceeds directly benefits De Smet Jesuit.

MOTHERS' CLUB CHRISTMAS MASS, BOUTIQUE, AND DINNER
Held the Thursday before Thanksgiving, join the Mothers’ Club for an evening of fellowship and shopping! The evening begins with Mass, followed by dinner, drinks and shopping in the gym. Vendors from around the St. Louis area set up booths filled with fun and unique gifts for the whole family.

CHRISTMAS EVE MASS
Hosted by the Alumni Association, the annual De Smet Jesuit Christmas Eve Mass is held in the Gymnasium each year at 4:00 p.m. All members of the Spartan Community are welcome to join in this annual holiday occasion.

THE O GALA AND AUCTION
The Gala & Auction is the largest fundraiser hosted by De Smet Jesuit each year. The DSJ Community comes together for an entertaining evening, complete with Appetizers, Plated Dinner, Live Entertainment, Silent & Live Auctions, Grab Bags, and so much more. All proceeds to back to De Smet Jesuit.

PALM SUNDAY MASS AND EASTER EGG HUNT
Hosted by the Alumni Association on Palm Sunday each year, this is one of the best De Smet Jesuit events for kids of all ages! Celebrate Mass in the Gymnasium, followed by donuts and coffee in the Cafeteria, and an Easter Egg Hunt in the Stadium for the little ones.

JUNIOR RING MASS, LUNCHEON, AND DANCE
Juniors receive their class rings in spring, symbolizing their readiness to accept the call to leadership within the school. Rings are presented during the Junior Ring Mass, traditionally celebrated at St. Francis Xavier College Church (on the campus of St. Louis University). Mothers and juniors then luncheon together, before juniors unite as a class later that night at the Junior Ring dance.

SENIOR PROM
Senior Prom serves as the capstone for the last day of school for the Senior Class. Traditionally held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Clayton, MO, in early May, Senior Prom allows seniors celebrate their accomplishments and experiences as a class of brothers and friends.

BACCALAUREATE BRUNCH, GRADUATION, AND FINAL ODYSSEY
Baccalaureate Brunch celebrates the achievements of our graduates before their Graduation Ceremony that evening. Final Odyssey is the lock-in hosted by the Senior Parents, held on the SLU campus for all our graduates to celebrate one final time together.

TRADITION GOLF TOURNAMENT
Usually held the first week after Memorial Day, the Tradition Golf Tournament is hosted by the De Smet Jesuit Alumni Association each year. The tournament includes a VIP Reception on Thursday night and a round of golf on Friday afternoon. Over 120 alumni, parents, friends and family of De Smet Jesuit participate each year.
