De Smet Jesuit Mothers' Club 2017-2018

Mothers for the Mission

The purpose of this club shall be threefold: First to foster a closer union among the mothers and the school; Second, to cooperate with the school in the promotion of the spiritual, intellectual, social, and physical welfare of the students, faculty, and parents of De Smet Jesuit; and Third, to assist in the organization and implementation of fund-raising projects for the school.

A Note from the Mothers' Club President

Welcome to the De Smet Jesuit Mothers’ Club!

Because you are a mother or female guardian at De Smet Jesuit, you are a member of the Mothers’ Club. You are also a member of the Spartan Parent Association, which consists of moms, dads, and guardians of current students. The Mothers’ Club is a great way to meet new friends and enjoy some fellowship while working with other women in various social and spiritual aspects of the De Smet Jesuit community.

We are excited this year about the many opportunities for moms to meet each other at our events, such as the, Mother-Son Mass and Brunch; Christmas Mass, Boutique, and Dinner; Mom Prom; Golden Gala Auction; and our Lenten Day of Reflection. You can volunteer for different events, make meals for those in need, donate items, or just come for the meetings and happy hours! While we are busy nurturing our sons and fostering positive experiences throughout these fast four years, please take time for yourself, be adventurous, and come join us.

Each class has representatives that will inform you of upcoming happy hours, mother/son service projects, and other school functions. We are getting savvier with social media so please check out each class’ Twitter and Facebook pages. On Mondays we send out weekly updates through our Mothers’ Club Newsletter. If you are not receiving these emails, please contact the school to get your address corrected.

I look forward to getting to know everyone and having a successful year!

Prayer to
Saint Ignatius Loyola

Dearest Lord, teach me
To be generous, teach me to serve You as You deserve;
To give and not count the cost, to fight, and not to heed the wounds;
To toil, and not to seek for rest; to labor, and not to ask for reward,
Except that knowing that I am doing Your Will.
