De Smet Jesuit students participate in all aspects of theatrical production.
From acting on the stage and directing shows to constructing scenery and designing sound and lights, students take the lead in building and presenting high quality productions.

Curriculum Guide
Learning flexibility and problem solving in this active class on stage.
Acting students will focus solely upon the study of acting and will perform three or four scenes and monologues, continue reading plays, and explore theater history. Directing students will perform two scenes, and, with a focus upon directing, direct the Acting students in two scenes and monologues (and be eligible to direct the student one-act plays in the spring).
This junior and senior elective course is for students who are interested in music and willing to consider the valuable role it plays in our lives.
