Created in 2024, The Spartan Cup Challenge invites De Smet Jesuit alumni celebrating a reunion year to show their Spartan pride through a friendly, mission-driven competition. Now in its second year, the challenge is about more than winning—it's about reconnecting with classmates and supporting today’s Spartans through the Spartan Fund.
HOW IT WORKS:
All reunion-year classes are automatically entered into The Spartan Cup Challenge. The winning class earns bragging rights and gets their name engraved on The Spartan Cup trophy, proudly displayed year-round in Emerson Lobby.
HOW TO WIN:
Classes earn points in four key categories:

Total Class Giving (July 1, 2024 – October 3, 2025)

Total Class Giving Participation (number of classmates who give)

Total Class Attendance at Reunion events

Most Updated Contact Information logged on our website
Scoring:
- 1st Place in a category = 9 points
- 2nd Place = 6 points
- 3rd Place = 3 points
The class with the most points by October 3, 2025, will be announced as the Spartan Cup Winner!
