Celebrating Spartan Excellence
The De Smet Jesuit Hall of Fame honors alumni, faculty, coaches, and supporters who have made outstanding contributions to our school community and beyond. These individuals exemplify the values of a Jesuit education—leadership, service, faith, and excellence in their chosen paths.
Inductees are celebrated for their impact on De Smet Jesuit and the broader world, whether through professional achievement, commitment to service, or lifelong support of our mission to form Men for Others.
Each year, we begin Reunion Weekend by gathering to recognize these extraordinary Spartans in a moving ceremony that reflects on their journeys and inspires the next generation. This hallmark event brings together alumni, families, faculty, and friends to celebrate the legacy—and future—of De Smet Jesuit.
The Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is open to all and serves as the official kickoff to Reunion Weekend. Come early, reconnect with classmates, and help us honor those who continue to make us proud to be Spartans.

2025 HALL OF FAME CEREMONY
We are honored to have recognized three remarkable members of the De Smet Jesuit community at the 2025 Hall of Fame Dinner and Celebration on Thursday, September 25. This year’s inductees— Fr. Michael Garanzini, S.J., Mr. Frank Hawkey, and Mr. Michael Grewe—have each made a lasting impact on Spartan Country through their leadership, service, and dedication to our mission.
The celebration of the 2025 Hall of Fame Inductees was nothing short of outstanding! We honored exceptional men whose leadership, service, and achievements exemplify our Jesuit values and have left lasting impact on their professions, families, and communities. Thank you to all who joined us- it was a night of connection, great stories, and well-deserved recognition.
