We offer multiple opportunities to visit De Smet Jesuit throughout the year for students in grades 5-8 interested in learning more about middle school and high school. All visit events are listed below. We hope to meet you soon!

Experience a 7th Grade Shadow Day

See what life as a Spartan is all about. Spend the day alongside a current student, meet our teachers and coaches, and discover what makes De Smet Jesuit the place to grow, lead, and thrive. 7^th Grade Shadow Days are for students currently in 7^thgrade, looking to learn more about De Smet Jesuit High School.

What to Expect

A Personal Guide: You’ll be paired with a current student who will walk you through a day in the life at De Smet Jesuit.
Hands-On Experience: Sit in on classes, meet our dedicated faculty, and feel the energy of Spartan Country.
Campus Connections: Tour our campus, connect with coaches and students, and enjoy lunch with new friends.

Visit Day Details

Arrival: Emerson Entrance at 8:45 a.m. - 9 a.m.
Lunch provided
Pickup: Emerson Entrance at 1:45 p.m.

For Parents

At drop-off, enjoy a brief welcome presentation and Q&A with current students, followed by an optional tour with our Admissions team. Stay as little or as long as you like—we’re here to make your visit easy and informative.

Spring Spartan Showcase - April 15, 2026

Join us for the Spartan Showcase, an evening designed for families with boys in grades 5–8 who want to learn more about life at De Smet Jesuit.

Step into Spartan Country and meet our dedicated faculty, connect with coaches, hear from current students, and experience firsthand the values and community that define our school. While this is an informational event, students are invited to attend alongside their parents to experience our community firsthand. You’ll also have the opportunity to select three of six focused breakout sessions tailored to your interests:

Details: Arrive at Emerson entrance at 9 AM - Pick up at 2 PM at Emerson entrance

Parents: Parents are invited to stay for a brief presentation and student-led Q & A at drop off. An optional tour will follow, led by an Admissions staff member. Parents are welcome to stay for as little or as long as you like.
