De Smet awarded $4.2 million in scholarships and tuition assistance to high school students for 2025-2026 school year.

More than 75% of our newest freshman class of Spartans have received a scholarship based on academics, character, or tuition assistance through FACTS.

Merit Scholarships: Based Upon High School Placement Test (HSPT) Scores

Academic scholarships are available to all incoming Freshman students based upon their High School Placement Test (HSPT) scores as listed below.

As part of the application process, De Smet Jesuit will be offering the HSPT on the following dates from 8:00-11:00am:

Named Scholarships are provided thanks to the generosity of our Spartan community and in recognition of the wide ranging talents and diversity of our student body. These are contingent on choosing De Smet Jesuit as first choice on archdiocesan application and renewable annually.

Awarded to applicants that have excellent academic standing.

MAGIS SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to applicants with strong co-curricular activities and a commitment to community service.

LEGACY SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to applicants with a father or grandfather who has graduated from De Smet Jesuit.

ACADEMY OF THE SACRED HEART SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to an applicant who has attended Academy of the Sacred Heart in good academic standing.

Ann Marie Beermann Scholarship

Given at the principal’s discretion, this award is for an applicant with strong academic achievement, a commitment to modeling good citizenship, and demonstrated financial need.

Anna and John Houlihan Scholarship

Awarded to a transfer student in good academic standing with co-curricular involvement.

Cameron Boersig Family Scholarship

Awarded to an applicant with sibling(s) attending De Smet Jesuit.

Cathleen and Paul Anderson Scholarship

Awarded to an applicant from a Catholic grade school in the St. Louis or St. Charles area who demonstrates motivation and leadership through community work, either after school or during the summer.

Frank and Mary Cay Finnegan Scholarship

Awarded to an applicant in good academic standing with a strong dedication to leadership.

Cole Anello Scholarship

Awarded to applicants who are grounded in the love for Christ and seek to be a man for and with others. Strong emphasis on participation in co-curriculars and service. Parish School of Religion preferred.

Donald and Annette Wahle Family Scholarship

Awarded to an applicant who has attended Queen of All Saints in good academic standing with co-curricular involvement.

DSJ Brebeuf Jesuit Scholarship

Awarded to an applicant with demonstrated commitment to service and faith.

Helen Fusz Jordan Scholarship

Awarded to an applicant in good academic standing with a strong dedication to leadership.

Jim Goessling ’73 Scholarship

Awarded to an applicant who displays integrity and leadership in his school community with co-curricular involvement.

Scott Stuckey ’92 Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a St. Charles County resident who attended a local parochial school, is in good academic standing, and demonstrates a strong dedication to leadership.

St. Jude Scholarship

Awarded to a minority student in good academic standing with a commitment toward community service.

Stephen M. Ringkamp Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to an applicant in good academic standing with a demonstrated commitment to leadership. Student must reside in St. Louis County or City.

The Ross Family Scholarship

Awarded to an applicant with a parent who serves at an area Catholic school.

Edward M. Nestor Scholarship

Awarded to an applicant in good academic standing with demonstrated commitment to Fine Arts.

First Responder & Military Family Scholarship

Awarded to children of police officers, firefighters, paramedics, or members of the military.

A limited number of scholarships are available.

William L. Kovacich Scholarship

Awarded to a St. Catherine Labouré student who demonstrates financial need, maintains a minimum 3.0 GPA, and is actively involved in co-curricular activities.

Family Tuition Assistance, FACTS Application Opens September 1, 2026

As the needs of our families have changed over time, so has our model in helping families and students from diverse financial backgrounds. When you wish to proceed with determining the level of assistance your family may qualify for, please be sure to submit your completed application to FACTS Management before the January, 15 2027 deadline.

All student’s tuition assistance awards are fulfilled by the student’s participation in the student scholarship hours program. This program is a need-based work study program.

St. Louis Archdiocesan Scholarships

MO Scholars Program

The State of Missouri launched the Missouri Empowerment Scholarship Accounts Program known as MOScholars. It provides state tax credits in exchange for contributions to approved, non-profit Educational Assistance Organizations (EAOs). EAOs then use the contributions to award scholarships to Missouri students living in low-income households or those on Individualized Education Programs.
