Can we afford it?

It’s a great opportunity to be awarded this scholarship because it means that me and my family can experience the joy that is going to De Smet Jesuit. The brotherhood aspect is like no other, and I seriously cannot thank this school enough for what it has done for me.

Receiving this scholarship gave me the motivation to be the best possible person that I can be. Getting to help at trivia night was a  really touching experience because it shows that the scholarship is more than money, it’s the people behind it. Seeing all of those people there for Bobby really changed my perspective on how a community can be so much more, over a common bond.

My family and I are very grateful for the reception of the Phyllis Sansone Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship has enabled me to attend De Smet Jesuit High School, where I earned a 4.1 GPA during my first quarter and has allowed me to continue my athletic career. It has also allowed me to get closer to God and the church. I have really become close with God since school has started, specifically when doing examen, and reflections mid-day and night.

This scholarship helps my family and I so much, and we are eternally grateful for your considerate donation to De Smet Jesuit. Thank you.

Being the recipient of the Lawrence J. Leahy Scholarship means so much to me and my family because it gives me the chance to attend such a great school. One of which furthers my belief in God, allows me to become brothers with my peers, helps me grow closer to the community, and prepares me for my future in life and college.
