Can we afford it?

We get asked this question a lot.

If you are unsure if paying for private high school is manageable for your family, you are not alone. Here we share testimonials from parents and a reflection from a current teacher/former student.

More than 75% of our newest class of Spartans have received a scholarship based on academics or character, or tuition assistance through FACTs.

Scholarship Recipient Gratitude

  • Class of 2026
Thomas Willie, Scott Stuckey Memorial Scholarship

It’s a great opportunity to be awarded this scholarship because it means that me and my family can experience the joy that is going to De Smet Jesuit. The brotherhood aspect is like no other, and I seriously cannot thank this school enough for what it has done for me.

  • Class of 2025
Alex Renschen, Bobby Christman Memorial Scholarship

Receiving this scholarship gave me the motivation to be the best possible person that I can be. Getting to help at trivia night was a  really touching experience because it shows that the scholarship is more than money, it’s the people behind it. Seeing all of those people there for Bobby really changed my perspective on how a community can be so much more, over a common bond.

  • Class of 2026
Liam Devlin, Phyllis Sansone Memorial Scholarship

My family and I are very grateful for the reception of the Phyllis Sansone Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship has enabled me to attend De Smet Jesuit High School, where I earned a 4.1 GPA during my first quarter and has allowed me to continue my athletic career. It has also allowed me to get closer to God and the church. I have really become close with God since school has started, specifically when doing examen, and reflections mid-day and night.

  • Class of 2023
Elijah Thomas, Joseph Sansone Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship helps my family and I so much, and we are eternally grateful for your considerate donation to De Smet Jesuit. Thank you.

  • Class of 2023
Tyler Schaeffer, Lawrence J. Leahy Scholarship Recipient

Being the recipient of the Lawrence J. Leahy Scholarship means so much to me and my family because it gives me the chance to attend such a great school. One of which furthers my belief in God, allows me to become brothers with my peers, helps me grow closer to the community, and prepares me for my future in life and college.
