Mathematics

The mission of the Mathematics Department of De Smet Jesuit High School is to assist each student in attaining his highest potential:

  • to reason in a logical and orderly fashion
  • to recognize situations in which mathematical principles apply.

Through a variety of teaching techniques in a supportive, academically focused environment, the student

  • will become confident and intellectually competent in his critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • will be prepared to succeed in college
