SAFE ENVIRONMENT
De Smet Jesuit High School is deeply committed to ensuring the safety, security and well-being of its students, faculty and staff, as well as alumni, parents and guests who participate in on campus events and activities. The school does not tolerate discrimination, sexual abuse, sexual activity, hazing or bullying, whether perpetrated by adults or students.
Providing the safest environment for students to learn and thrive is a top priority. De Smet Jesuit conducts regular background checks on employees and maintains records of visitors who come to campus during the school day.
All employees and non-employed coaches and moderators are required to complete Protecting God’s Children, an education program sponsored by the Archdiocese of St. Louis focused on providing a safe and secure environment.
