Auction Guidelines
Auction Committee

  • All auction items must be picked up from De Smet on March 3 at the conclusion of the auction, or on Saturday, March 4, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Arrangements can be made for some items to be shipped if the winner is not local. Additional charges will apply. Failure to pick up items as outlined is interpreted to mean that it is abandoned and no refund will be issued.

  • All auction items have been donated through the generosity of friends of De Smet Jesuit. Unless noted in the item description, no refunds or exchanges will be made by the donor for merchandise or certificates. Unless otherwise specified by the donor, all certificates and services must be used by March 1, 2024.

  • Failure to arrange for a trip, meal, party, etc., for any reason, within the time limit and according to specified conditions and/or limitations, imposes absolutely no obligations for a refund on the donor or De Smet Jesuit.

  • Sale to another party by the winning bidder imposes absolutely no obligation on the donor or De Smet Jesuit.

  • Values established for auction items are best estimates and are not warranted by the Havana Nights Odyssey Auction committee or De Smet Jesuit for tax purposes or general value.

  • Please contact your tax advisor regarding appropriate tax deduction for any items purchased at Havana Nights Odyssey Auction.

  • Purchases involving overnight accommodations are limited to guests of 21 years old unless accompanied by an adult.

  • All bids are final and the decision of the winning bid is made by De Smet Jesuit.

  • All goods and services purchased at Havana Nights Odyssey Auction shall be used at the sole risk of the purchaser, and De Smet Jesuit will not be held liable for any damage or injury occurring to any user of any Havana Nights Odyssey Auction purchased goods or services. All items are sold “as is” and no warranty or guarantee is given as to the merchantability or suitability of any such items.
