Spartan Interviews
| Cura personalis, a Latin term meaning "care for the individual", is a hallmark of Jesuit education. At De Smet, cura personalis is displayed every day in the classroom, on the playing fields, in student organizations and in the café. Teachers, administrators, coaches, moderators and staff care about the entire person from the time he applies through the time he graduates. During the admissions process, De Smet desires to know the applicant beyond his transcripts and test scores. To meet that end, the admissions staff interviews each applicant. This is an opportunity for applicants to learn more about De Smet and for De Smet to learn more about the applicant. Interviews are 20-30 minutes long and are conducted during the month of January. Students who wish to attend De Smet must complete the interview to be considered for admission.
