Summer opportunities to help with College Application process
Summer is an excellent time for growth and development both in and outside the classroom. The college counselors have listings of many valuable things that students can do in the summertime that involve personal enhancement academically, in leadership, through coursework and programs at area colleges and universities, and in the wider community. In addition, students can build a resume with experiences and challenges, explore interests, and pursue opportunities that will lead to not only a better start to the next school year but offer more possibilities down the road.

Online Application Boot CampJuniors, we're just one summer away from the college application season. These aren't difficult to fill out, but most students encounter a few tricky parts where the correct answer isn't obvious. In order to make the application process as easy as possible for you, the College Counseling Office is putting on an Online Application Boot Camp. This program is free and available to all members of the class of 2018. This program will take place on August 9 from 1-3 p.m., and again on August 10 from 1-3 p.m. Come join Mr. Boland and Mr. Gunn in the De Smet Jesuit cafeteria for help, advice, and technical assistance with your online applications. All you need to bring is your laptop. Are you confused about how many 1818 credits you've earned or not sure what a CEEB code is or how to find ours? We're here for you.
