Seniors

Mrs. Morlock is seeking final decisions regarding college selections and scholarships. It is imperative that seniors provide this information to her in a timely manner for both graduation planning and for final transcript transmission.

Upcoming College Events for Sophomores and Juniors

Sophomores/Juniors

Please note several calendar items in April. On April 4 we will be hosting a College 101 seminar at 7 p.m. in the De Smet Jesuit Theatre. This presentation will feature a college representative offering insights and information from the college side of the admissions application and college search process. The presentation will also include information about finances and how to pay for college.

On Sunday, April 23, Maryville University will host a national college fair from 1-3 p.m. This is a great way to visit with college reps, learn about their programs, and get on their mailing lists.

The next session of the Alumni-Student Mentorship Lunch Program is Wednesday, April 5, featuring a career in business and finance.

Even if your son is not considering this particular career field, this lunch program offers students a chance to hear from professionals, network with each other, and learn valuable life lessons from De Smet Jesuit alumni who offer their time and expertise.

The students miss no class time, just their lunch period in the cafeteria. They enjoy a free lunch in Spartan Hall where the Alumni Association generously supplies pizza and soda for the students who attend.

Any junior or senior who is interested in attending this session must contact his college counselor (Mr. Boland or Mr. Gunn) to sign up. It is wise to do this promptly as space is limited. If you have any questions about this program, please let us know. Thank you for your interest!
