Second Annual Spartan Trivia Night A Success!
The Second Annual De Smet Jesuit Spartan Trivia Night held on Saturday, February 23 was a huge success and enjoyed by 240 guests. Taking honors with First Place was the alumni team put together by the Class of 1977 (Mark Lauberth '77, Sue Lauberth, Mark Nikolaisen '77, Laura Nikolaisen, Mark Berry '77, Meg Barry, John Stewart '77, Debbie Stewart, Larry Gillespie '75 and Kathleen Gillespie). Taking Second Place was team McGraugh consiting of Chris McGraugh '79, Sue McGraugh, Rick Pfleging '76, Michelle Pfleging, Dave Horner, Megan Horner, Keith Mahon, Joan Delabar and Kris Fleming.) Taking special honors for last place and the "Dumb Dumb Sucker Award" was Team Bunten who, in spite of coming in last, felt they came in FIRST for having a great time!
A special thanks to our first and second place tables who donated their cash prize awards back to De Smet Jesuit Alumni Association.

33 Legacy dads welcome their sons in the Class of 2012 to the Alumni Association at the Baccalaureate Brunch prior to graduation.
Young alumni return to De Smet for Special Olympics
Seventeen college age alumni from 2009, 2010, and 2011 returned to De Smet Jesuit to grill and serve 700 hotdogs to the Special Olympic Athletes and their sophomore buddies.
Alumni Friday Morning Prayer
The Alumni Association invites all alumni to return to De Smet Jesuit on Friday mornings when school is in session to read the Friday Morning Prayer and to offer a short reflection on what it means to be a De Smet Jesuit Graduate. Contact the Alumni Office for more information.

Alumni Board Seeks Class Representatives
The Alumni Association is currenlty looking for volunteers to serve as Class Reps for the following classes: 1993 and 1994. For more information or to volunteer, please contact the Alumni Board President, Andy Riesmeyer '83.or or Vice-President, Greg Brockemeier '02.
Duties of a De Smet Jesuit High School Alumni Board Class Representative:
- Lives the "Men for Others" Jesuit motto and "Grad at Grad" principles.
- Acts as a conduit between De Smet Jesuit Alumni Association and his class.
- Promotes De Smet Jesuit in his parish and community in a positive manner.
- Attends Alumni Board meetings representing his respective class.
- Assists with events hosted or sponsored by the Alumni Association including the Odyssey Auction, Reunion Weekend, Business After Hours, Christmas Tree Lot, Spartan Trivia Night, Palm Sunday Alumni Family Easter Egg Hunt, Tradition Golf Tournament and Alumni Annual Appeal Phone-a-thons.
- Offers support for all De Smet Jesuit fund raising endeavors through time, treasure and talents.
- Serves as a member of the Reunion Committee for his respective class in a reunion year.
The Alumni Association's goal is to have at least three reps for each class. Please complete and return the Willingness to Serve form if you you like to join the Alumni Board to represent your class.
